Bowling With The Kodak PLAYTOUCH Pocket Video Camera: A Review

A few days ago I was offered the opportunity to review the Kodak Playtouch Pocket Video Camera. I jumped at the chance!! This camera caught my eye because it’s not only a pocket video camera… but it’s a social media maven’s dream come true. As soon as you take video you can upload it to either YouTube or Facebook. Do you hear what I’m telling you??? The Kodak Playtouch allows us to clear out our cards while on the road. You never have to worry about running out of disk space again!

That’s not the only feature that caught my eye. I also LOVED the fact that you can edit your video right from the camera. Want to make your shoot black and white? DONE! Looking to edit out a picture from your film? Not a problem!

Technology is getting smarter while becoming easier to use. Never thought I would see the day but the Kodak PlayTouch Pocket Video Camera is proof!

Are you looking for a full list of features of the Kodak PlayTouch Pocket Video Camera? Here you go:

· Share Button for easy video upload to YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK sites, and email
· 3-inch capacitive touchscreen LCD optimized for reviewing in landscape mode for the ultimate 1080p HD video sharing experience
· On-camera editing features to trim and extract still pictures from video
· 5 MP HD still pictures
· Sharper videos and less blur with built-in digital image stabilization
· Built-in USB arm for easy sharing, charging, and transferring
· External stereo microphone jack to add high-quality sound to videos or to plug in headphones for discreet playback*
· 4 capture effects, including B&W, sepia, high saturation, and ‘70s film look
· Up to 10 hours of HD video** with expandable SD/SDHC card slot (up to 32 GB)
· PC and MAC iLIFE product compatibility

Beautiful! If you don’t want to upload immediately to Facebook or Youtube, you can also choose to email the footage to yourself. I mean, I know I keep talking about this feature, but it’s MAGIC to me. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. How many times have you been somewhere and then run out of space on your camera card? That feeling is like DEATH. You have to sit there and try to delete the unimportant photos all while the moment gets lost.

Problem solved.
