I don’t know about you, but I am in FULL Christmas mode already.  I’ve got a good chunk of my shopping done and I just want the holiday season to be HERE already.  Perusing through the Swiss Colony catalog online sent my party planning and gift giving ideas into overdrive!  They have everything from nuts, meats, cheeses, desserts (like to-die-for CHEESECAKES), gift baskets, collectibles, and more.

My absolute favorite thing was their Snowman Yule Log and Petit Fours gift set. What I love about snowmen is that they’re something that can be given anytime during the winter – not just at Christmas time.  Also, the set makes a great looking display for holiday parties or even in the teachers’ lounge at your child’s school. You could slice up a few pieces of the log (without cutting into the design at first) and surround it with the petit fours on a cute matching plate.  It’s almost too cute to eat – almost! I have to add that what you see in the catalog is what you get – the products arrive looking just as amazing as they do in the photos. The cakes were moist and delicious and the artwork was really incredible.  Over half of their food gifts are priced under $25!

I’m a complete nerd when it comes to watching how things are made, so I was giddy to see that Swiss Colony shared a video showing the process of making the Snowman Yule Log from start to finish!  Check it out on their website.

For those of you who aren’t quite ready to think Christmas, they do have a wide range of items from Thanksgiving to birthdays or just any ole day!

  1. There are two main philosophies when it comes to gift giving: give something a person wants and give something a person needs. Of course, if you can get something someone needs and wants, that’s the best of both worlds
