I got a chance to spend an amazing evening with a photographer Tamara Lackey, her team, and 11 other bloggers at the NY Trapeze School. Tamara is a go-to girl when it comes to that perfect Kodak moment and we had lots of them while swinging high in the air.
I zip lined before and thought that trapeze wouldn’t be a big deal, but it was! We were all terrified! Not only were we expected to fly like Tarzan, but we had to do aerobics which I can’t even do on the ground. Most girls succeeded though; bloggers are not to be messed with!
Action shots are very hard to capture and there are many great moments each of us failed to photograph. Thanks to Tamara we won’t have to miss another opportunity to capture our lives on camera. Tamara shares with us very useful tips on her new DVD, “Capturing Life Through Better Photography”
Tamara’s work appeared in Vogue, O Magazine, Martha Stewart Living and many other publications including some of the popular TV shows like ABC’s Extreme Makeover. She gathered her knowledge and experience into a fun DVD guide to teach us all how to become better photographers. Tamara’s great personality shines throughout her fun and colorful experiments with photography where she examines the trials, errors, and accomplishments.
Some of the tips include interacting with your subject, thinking about body language, flattering angles, thinking beyond center framing, diagonals, perspective, working with lights and shades as well as much more information including camera settings and kits.
