Fashion for Passion and Kids Creative Benefit

Last night, I attended the Fashion for Passion Launch event, featuring the photography of Nicholas Routzen, founder of Fashion for Passion. Nicholas is a famed fashion photographer, who has worked with Sony, Seventeen Magazine, Nylon, Esquire, Blink and Nike, to name a few. Fashion for Passion is a not-for-profit organization that seeks to support kids who love the arts. Fashion for Passion is currently working with Kids Creative, a NY-based organization that encourage peacemaking in young people through confidence, creativity, conflict resolution, community, collaboration and cookies. Nicholas was at the event and hung out with the stylish crowd that included Nole Marin, from America’s Next Top Model.
Nicholas’ work, black and white fashion photographs of models, was on display at the Hudson Hotel. The photographs were artistic and most of the models wore exaggerated makeup or clothing, which made for interesting pieces. My favorite was the the one of the model with fringe coming from her sleeves. The focus was on the clothing and its artistic elements.

All proceeds from the event went towards Kids Creative and assisting them further their causes in art education and peacemaking. To find out more about Kids Creative, go to To see more of Nicholas’ work, go to
