LATB Attends The Tory Burch Denim Event

Imagine a few dozen fashion bloggers assigned to style models with anything in a store filled with clothes and accessories. This was the scene at the Tory Burch Denim Event at her store in the Meatpacking District. We were all super excited to play stylist to the three models. The assignment was to style them wearing jeans, using clothes and accessories from in the store.

Tory Burch has clothes for the casual mom, trendy fashionista and the jet-setting traveler so there was a wide variety to choose from. Some of the looks included basic tanks, booties and fun accessories, while others were more daring, like a sequined dress over zebra print jeans. I chose a black and white blouse with a black leather wrap-around belt. I paired this with the skinny legging jeans and piled on the accessories. I added a red vintage purse with a gold strap, red, gold and white bracelets and a printed scarf for her hair. On her feet with dark blue wedges. I loved these shoes because they’re perforated so you can pull them off during summer but they’re close-toed so they’re the perfect transition shoe for fall. The model threw on some classic aviators and her style was complete.

Another fun part of the event was choosing a pair of jeans to take home. As soon as I walked into the store, I saw these printed jeans. The print looks like paint splattered all over the pants. I tried on a pair and loved it even more. They’re super long, so you can wear them with heels. I wore mine with flats today and tucked the hem under to shorten the leg. This print also comes in a clutch, as well as a bag.
