Remember when I went to Disney a few weeks ago? While we were in the airport my Nikon died on me. Literally right before we were about to board. I brought it to someone to get fixed and he told me it wasn’t really worth it since the equipment was fairly old. So I listened and have been using a regular camera for personal and professional use. The problem is when I go to cover events… I feel so unprofessional whipping out my little Canon. It’s a great camera – don’t get me wrong. But nothing compares to an SLR.
While on Twitter, I came across this blog and that was all I needed to see. Besides making some of the most scrumptious recipes on the net, ‘My Baking Addictions’ pictures were BEAUTIFUL! Be sure to check them out!!!! I did a quick search and found out she uses a Canon EOS Rebel XSi.
I yanked Bill into the room and checked out some reviews on CNET. Within the hour, Miss Impulse Shopper snagged herself a Canon. I switched teams! This certainly is the month for it. I left Blackberry and now Nikon. What is the world coming to?!
Needless to say, I haven’t had a chance to actually take some nice shots. I just tested it out on the kids to make sure all the bells and whistles were in order! An early Mother’s Day, Birthday, Anniversary and Christmas present all wrapped into one? That’s ok! I desperately needed an SLR for work. It all will work out in the end!
