Want to know the right time of day when you should be taking your vitamins or birth control pills? Prevention.com wrote an article about it and here’s the quick summary:
- Multi-vitamin: Take it with food
Vitamins absorb best in your system when they are consumed with food. Easy enough right?
- Birth control or heart pills: Right before bed
Sometimes birth control pills can make a woman nauseous. Sleeping through that symptom makes the most sense. Heart attacks and strokes have a 30-50% greater chance of happening in the early morning. So if you take heart pills right before you go to sleep, the drugs will still be in your system right before you wake up.
And when should you fill your prescriptions? Prevention says mid-month is the optimal time. In the beginning of the month, lines will be longer because that’s when patients receive their welfare and Social Security checks.
