I had the opportunity to meet Dave Lieberman during a press event promoting Del Monte’s Value without Sacrifice campaign. Times are tough for everyone these day. Why not make the most out of your supermarket budget by purchasing products that are of value? Del Monte never sacrifices on taste or quality and is easy on the wallet.
“Now more than ever home cooks are looking for economic ways to cook nutritious meals for their families,” said Dave Lieberman, Food Network TV host and author. “Del Monte allows families who are on a limited schedule and budget to incorporate fruits and vegetables into their diet with all the taste, convenience and quality they’ve come to expect from Del Monte. Fruits and vegetables are a critical part of any healthy diet and I’m excited to partner with Del Monte to remind people to make fruits, vegetables and tomatoes the central part of their home cooking.”
During the event, we learned of several recipes that I am DYING to make at home. They each came from Dave’s new cookbook, ‘The 10 Things You Need to Eat: And More Than 100 Easy and Delicious Ways to Prepare Them‘. New York Times health columnist Anahad O’Connor teamed up with Dave to cut through all the claims and studies and identify ten simple foods with undeniable health benefits that you can find in any supermarket.

How did you do?? I don’t eat as many as I should from the list – but now I know!! I was lucky enough to receive a signed copy and can’t wait to sink my teeth into the recipes.
So, why did Dave partner up with Del Monte? Because we can find the majority of the items we need to eat in their product line. Isn’t that great? Click here to get a coupon ($1.00 off if you buy 4 cans).
And just because I can’t help myself – check out some of the dishes Dave made using Del Monte goods. Oh boy – who’s hungry!? I’ll be posting the recipes today and tomorrow – so stay tuned!
